Simon, 17, is a senior at The Harker School in California, where he excels in violin, viola, and voice. He will be attending NYU Tisch in the Fall of 2026 and will be a member of the class of 2030. Simon began playing the violin at age 3, and studies violin and viola under the guidance of Elizabeth Faidley and voice with Alison Collins and Amelia DeMayo. He has performed at esteemed venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. He earned numerous accolades, including first place at the New York Artists International Competition, a silver medal at the Canadian International Music Competition, and another silver medal at the American Protégé Competition.
In addition to his musical accomplishments, Simon has showcased his talents in theatrical productions, including Guys and Dolls (Rita Moreno award nominee), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Wedding Singer, and Working. He will appear as Nick Bottom in Something Rotten in the Spring of 2026. He performed with the Ragazzi Boys Chorus at the Sydney Opera House. Outside rehearsals and practice sessions, Simon enjoys playing video games, participating in Dungeons & Dragons, and creating musical arrangements.
VOCALIST
Simon started voice lessons in 2022; he joined the Ragazzi Boys Chorus, and currently studies in the studios of Alison Collins in CA and Amelia de Mayo in NYC. Simon has won silver medals at the Canadian International Music Competition and Grand Metropolitan Music Competition. He performed in Guys and Dolls (Rita Moreno nominee for Nicely, Nicely Johnson), the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee with the Harker Conservatory at the Fringe Festival in Scotland and appeared in the ensemble of The Wedding Singer. Both productions were nominated for the Rita Moreno Awards. In the summer of 2024, he sang with the Ragazzi Boys Chorus in Australia at the Sydney Opera House.
INSTRUMENTALIST
Simon has been playing the violin since age 3 and started playing viola in 2024. He is currently studying in the studio of Elizabeth Faidley in New York City. He has performed in multiple competitions and played in various venues, including the Weil Hall at Carnegie Hall, Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall in London, and Teatro Paco de la Musica in Rome. In 2023, he won 1st prize at the New York Artists International Competition and was the winner of Most Expressive Player at the 21st Century Talents Music Competition. In 2024, he won first place at the Canadian International Music Competition and he 1st prize at the New York Artists International Competition.
